Canon PowerShop A75 Camera ?

We have a camera, its screen with make like pinkish smudgy things on the video and pink lines across the pictures that i take, it used rechargeable battery’s at first but they soon lost using time for usage but we still keep then you know for just in case and we use all different kinds of battery’s, mostly Duracell but it seems that i may not have been the battery’s because before this happened it was fine with other Non rechargeable ones, It was NEVER drop that i know of or put in water or near food so maybe you can help?
