Reccomend me a Camcorder?
Well I have been into making shorts films for a while so I decided to buy one. I am going to edit the movies so I will probably need mini DV or a hard-drive camcorder. I am interesting in making
-Holiday
-Family
-Vacation
-Action
-Comedy
-Night
films so I need an all around cameras so I can do many types of short films. I have a budget of about $450 excluding tapes and accesories such as firewire. I already know all that ccd chip stuff so I just want reccomendations for the above listed and more types of filmography (if thats a word). By comedy I mean like the videos by smosh on youtube. I dont plan on making a whole series, just like short videos.
Below is a great site for comparing models to do what you want. They give very comprehensive reviews. I’d be particular about finding one with the best low light performance. The more manual features, the better, but pickins are slim in that price range. Also, I recommend going with miniDV since you never know when you may see something spontanious that you want to shoot, but you’re out of HDD space.
