Camera savys: Lookin for CANON camera that can shoot good quality photographs AND videos?

I want to buy a semi-professional camera (and SLR one) that shoots photos as well as HD videos. Preferably a Canon cuz I hear that they are better than Nikons and other stuff. However, I don’t want anything too expensive. $700 is my limit.

I was looking into the
EOS Rebel T1i D-SLR Camera w/ 18-55mm IS lens (which is $699.99 I think)

I saw in Best buy that this one records HD videos as well. However, i later checked their website and nowhere on the best buy website did it actually say that it recorded videos….

My question is, does anybody know if this camera actually records HD videos?

Also, what other cameras do you suggest that are good, affordable, and shoot good quality photographs & videos?

I appreciate it so much you guys!! Since I’m plannin on going to Best Buy in a few hours for Black Friday shopping lol.

I’m a Canon guy but I recommend the Nikon D3100 – lower price, better model. It is lighter, has less noise, better video and is simply amazing.
